Destroyer of Light

In the 6 and a half years that Destroyer of Light has been in existence, they have accomplished most of what they have done on their own. They have currently released 3 LPs, 1 EP, and 1 split record since their inception. Also, they have toured all over the US, played festivals such as Psycho California, Southwest Terror Fest, Shadow Woods, Stoned Meadow of Doom, and SXSW. They’ve opened for the bands Pentagram, Weedeater, Author & Punisher, Black Tusk, Cough, King Parrot, etc.

Destroyer of Light’s music can be described as traditional doom metal blended with a more modern and melodic approach. They aren’t afraid of crossing genres as long as it fits the song, and they continue to evolve with each release. One reviewer quoted: “Monolithic and powerful, immaculate in its conception, full of potent riffs and delicate melodies and counterbalanced with all sorts of exciting ideas, this is the sort of metal mastery that few of the bands peers can truly match up too.”

With that said, Destroyer of Light have signed with Italian label, Argonauta Records, for the release of their fourth LP. They will enter the studio in November of 2018 to have it released in the Spring of 2019. Keep your eyes and ears open as they continue to evolve and spread their music overseas and throughout. Never say die.
