The Kings

Platinum selling artists and Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame members, The Kings were formed in Vancouver, British Columbia and Oakville, Ontario. They wrote, rehearsed and played club gigs for years before winning the first ever Home Grown radio contest in Canada which gave them the confidence to record their first album at Nimbus 9 Studio in Toronto. While there, the band caught the ear of legendary producer Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd) who got them signed to a world-wide deal with Elektra Records/Warner Music Group in Los Angeles.

Their debut album "The Kings Are Here", featured their first single, "This Beat Goes On/Switchin' to Glide", that took off at radio all over North America and spent nearly 6 months on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The Kings were nominated for a JUNO Award and were named Most Promising Band by Cashbox Magazine and "Beat/Switchin" was recognized one of the Top 100 Radio Programmers Picks of the 1980s by Album Network Magazine, and an incendiary appearance on "American Bandstand" helped cement the band's success.

The Kings have released 4 more studio albums, 3 live albums, an Anthology and a documentary film. In 2023, they are gearing up for the launch of their latest record "The Longest Story Ever Told", which the band considers their best yet.

Always a great live band, The Kings offer a dynamic addition to any concert or festival!
