KATY GUILLEN AND THE GIRLS

Katy Guillen and the Girls have established themselves as an authentic, authoritative rock band. While rooted heavily in the blues, they take cues from guitar behemoths like Jimi Hendrix, the visionary songwriting of Patty Griffin and the indie rock revivalist sound of Heartless Bastards.  The Kansas City-based trio has taken their vivacious performances to stages across the globe, and established a singular musical identity.

The band has been hailed as a salient force in the roots and blues circuit, playing large-scale events from the Montreal International Jazz Festival to the King Biscuit Blues Festival and Joe Bonamassa’s Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea Cruise; and opening for renowned acts like The Doobie Brothers, Robin Trower, The Mavericks, and The Heartless Bastards. With their acclaimed 2016 sophomore release “Heavy Days,” Katy Guillen & the Girls have toured rigorously across the county hitting both coasts and borders.
